Schoolyard improvement at the school ‘Neiwiss’, Rodange
Construction period: 2010 – 2011
Site: Rodange, Luxembourg
Surface: 4,350 m²
Client: Municipality of Pétange, Luxembourg
The characteristic urban element of the new playground of the primary school are polygonal spatial sequences. They offer different playing possibilities and are in dialogue with the architecture and the environment. The new schoolyard of the preschool provides a natural experience in a new context. Old trees are integrated into the new design and offer precious shade. The transformation of a slope offers free space for sliding and climbing.
