The open-space typology for the Schoettermarial neigbourhood on the Kirchberg structures the zone into an urban, intensively used core area along the Ringstraße and a near-natural, extensively used areas towards the periphery of the valuable slope forests.
Existing, rare biotope areas are protected and preserved. The landscape receives open spaces to recapture previously used surfaces.
