The schoolyard connects the new school building with the existing school complex functionally and visually to form a holistic learning, playing, sports and meeting place.
Various activity areas for the different age groups are distributed over the area, thus enabling differentiation between the age groups as well as encounters.
The polygonal park-like reception zone accompanies the children and visitors on their way to the schoolyard area. The adjoining paved area forms the centre of the path and entices to continue one’s walk and discover the individual, somewhat sheltered activity islands and paths.
Areas planted with trees and shrubs serve as a protective and buffer zone to neighbouring areas.
